Installation requirements
All water tanks need to be installed on level and flat compact base approx 1 metre larger than diameter of tank. A concrete slab is best if available. The compacted material must be granular with no sharp protrusions. Elevated tank stands and/or decking is to be larger than the tank with gaps in decking no greater than 50mm. Outlet to be fitted with a flexible hose (not poly, pvc or steel ) The overflow is to be carried to the ground, vermin proofed and discharged away from base of tank or tank stand.
